Custom 13-Foot Rift-Sawn White Oak Architectural Shelf — Solid Wood Slab, Sold On Its Own

One-of-a-kind custom architectural shelf, designed and fabricated in Oakland, California in 2022 for CoCo Noir Wine Shop & Bar. This is the solid rift-sawn white oak slab on its own — a clean 13-foot run of beautiful wood, ready for whatever you want to build with it. Rift-sawn white oak is the most dimensionally stable way to mill oak. The grain runs straight and tight down the entire length with no busy 'flame' figure, which is why designers specify it for high-end millwork. The finish is a warm blonde tone with a commercial-grade clear protective coat. — Dimensions — • Length: approximately 156 inches (13 feet) • Width: approximately 12 inches • Solid wood slab, sanded and clear-coated • Buyer should verify thickness and all measurements at pickup — What It Can Be Used For — This is a blank canvas. It was originally mounted as a wine-glass display shelf, and it pairs perfectly with the sixteen brass-finish stemware racks sold separately under Item #128 — mount the racks underneath and you have the original hanging wine-glass display back again. On its own it also works beautifully as a long floating wall shelf, a bar back or back-bar display ledge, a wine rack backer or bottle display shelf, a kitchen open-shelving run, a bathroom or entry ledge, a retail merchandising shelf, a desk or console top, a window bar / standing counter top, a bench seat top, or a headboard shelf. Cut it down and you have several shorter shelves out of one board. — Condition — Pre-owned, in excellent overall used condition. Existing mounting holes from the original installation, plus normal cosmetic marks, minor surface scratches, and finish variation consistent with commercial use and removal. It has been fully dismantled and is off the wall, ready to load.
